How and why did this affordable refrigeration rental service come to be?

Over the course of performing commercial refrigeration service, repair and installation we often had the scenario arise of waiting for critical parts to be delivered in order to execute a repair. In the interim, our customers would be left scrambling to find places to store refrigerated or frozen goods for up to 2 weeks and still keep their business going. The expense of renting a 40′ reefer trailer as well as the space to house it rarely made this a feasible option. Building out insulated trailers and outfitting them with commercial refrigeration became our solution. This has grown in popularity and provides support to industries we did not initially envision.
